Good morning, I hope that you are all well 😊.
Lots of us are paraskavedektriaphobic – having a fear of Friday the 13th. For some people, the date causes a very high amount of anxiety. The reasons for the fear could stem from Norse times when Loki crashed a party of 12 gods or the Bible, where we learn that Judas was the 13th disciple to sit down at the Last Supper. Other reasons for the superstition note that Apollo 13's oxygen tank exploded on April 13, 13 steps led to the gallows, a coven of witches has 13 members ..... the list goes on.
Some people just think 13 is incomplete (what with 12 being a 'sublime number') – think about it: months in a year, eggs in a dozen, inches in a foot… and why share this – well, besides it being Friday 13th, I know that for so many of you, every day seems like Friday the 13th at the moment. I know that there are a lot of tough times out there. Take care and take it slow. And call in any time. All the best, Andy.
And of course, remember the thrive training - A fear of such an external factor need not influence our mood at all! It has no power over us at all! But I accept that sometimes it does feel like it does.
