What's been going on in school, through the eyes of a child.....
Class 4 had a great time litter picking and keeping our school grounds tidy!
In RE last term, class 3 were thinking about how lucky we are to have enough food and how we can help those who don't have a good harvest. We talked about how, as Christians, we should share our gifts and talents to help others. We made a keyring with our artwork and parents sent in a donation to buy a Christian aid gift.
We raised £31.64 which is enough to buy a sapling Olive tree and a pair of chickens.
Well done class 3 children and thank you to your parents for your donations.
Year 6 continued the theme of remembrance by planning, preparing and leading their own class worships across school! They all did brilliantly. Well done year 6!
Miss Berry and Mr Norris
Last Friday was fun in Year 6 when they had a very exciting visit this afternoon all the way from the headquarters of Nike in Oregon! The children were shown prototypes of trainers and clothing and asked for their opinions to help influence the new ranges which are soon to be released. The children were courteous and polite and really showed themselves and the school off.
A fabulous experience organised by Gemma from Chorley School Sports Partnership
Class 5 enjoyed an afternoon walk to the Cenotaph in Astley Park, to lay the wreaths that they had made and to read the prayers that they have written themselves to the soldiers, as part of our Remembrance topic in history. The prayers were so beautiful and the children recited them surrounded by all of the names of the Chorley soldiers engraved in the wall, to whom they were praying for. You made me so very proud Class 5. Lest We Forget. Check out the videos here.
