Hours of Work:

Breakfast Club: 8.45 am – 9.00 am
-
Lunchtime Welfare: 12.00 pm – 1.10 pm
-
Late Stay Club: 3.15 pm – 5.30 pm
Term-Time Only (38 Weeks per Year)
Foundation Living Wage: £12.60 per hour

This integral role involves supervising and engaging positively with our kids, ensuring they feel safe, happy, and valued during breakfast club, lunch breaks, and our late stay sessions.
If you're adept at cultivating joy, kindness, and a sense of belonging amongst children, we'd love you to join our welcoming community. Previous experience working with children is advantageous, though warmth, positivity, and an ability to inspire are the quintessential qualities we seek.

Essential Criteria:
Qualifications and Experience:

Experience of working with children in a school or childcare environment or similar voluntary role.

A demonstrable understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures.
Skills and Abilities:

Ability to engage warmly, positively, and empathetically with kids.

Effective communicator with kids, colleagues, and parents.
-
Able to manage children's behaviour confidently yet compassionately, setting clear boundaries while nurturing mutual respect.

Reliable, punctual, and consistent in attendance.

A genuine commitment to the ethos and vision of St George’s, ensuring every child feels valued and secure.

Ability to zhuzh up activities and inspire children's engagement, encouraging them to flourish socially and emotionally.

Warm-hearted and approachable personality.

Calm and patient disposition, particularly in fast-paced or challenging situations.

Sentient to children’s emotional well-being, capable of quickly recognising and addressing kids’ emotional and physical needs.

Flexible, adaptable, and able to respond proactively to unexpected circumstances.
Desirable Criteria:

Basic First Aid qualification (or willingness to undertake training).

Experience in planning and delivering activities or games suitable for primary-age kids.

Knowledge of basic food hygiene and healthy eating principles (or willingness to learn).

Ability to reflect thoughtfully upon own practice, identifying areas for self-improvement.

Good sense of humour and willingness to embrace the occasional mulligrubs of school life with positivity.
