All Primary Schools were in receipt of an additional sports funding grant last year. The grant, £9000, was used to promote inter and intra school sports, give children the opportunity for more swimming lessons, and ensure that rising costs of residential trips were kept to a minimum, as some of the grant could be used to offset these increases. The effect that the expenditure has had on the quality of PE within the school is tangible.
