WE 21.3.2026

Process the achievements folks, process all you have achieved.... what does it say about you!?

Some of our Year 2 children took part in a martial arts festival today. We learned lots of new skills and had a great time. Thanks to Chorley School Sports Partnership and Shinpo Martial Arts.

Over the last few weeks, Eco Group have been weeding and planting vegetable seeds ready to grow outside. Today, they have been planting potatoes 🥔

Year 6, whilst obviously missing Tom, cracking on brilliantly....

Class 5 had a lovely afternoon out in the sun at Duxbury Woods! The children were investigating what animals live in the woods and thinking about what they would have to say if they found out all their trees were going to be chopped down. This was to allow the children to choose their characters for our upcoming independent write, based on our book for this half term The Kapok Tree (based in the Amazon rainforest) The children thought of lots of reasons why the animals would not want the woods to be cut down and what they would say to the humans trying to do it! Well done!

The children also enjoyed a game of Pooh sticks on the bridge and a lovely walk in our beautiful local woods 🌳🌳

Class 7 have had a cold but brilliant Geography field trip to enhance our learning on rivers and the water cycle. The staff at Cuerden Valley were impressed with the children’s knowledge and vocabulary as well as their behaviour. Well done everyone!

brillinat week, phenominal - my thanks to you all,

Andy
