WE 22.11.2024

Always see school through the eyes of the people who it's here for.....

What a brilliant day Class 7 have had with Richard from the History Squad! We have learned more about the Romans to enhance our learning whilst also sharing the knowledge already learned. A fun and interactive day holding and trying on armour, demonstrating how to keep ourselves and comrades safe in battle with shields and looking at Roman artefacts.

More pictures to follow on Seesaw shortly. 😊

🖊🖊🖊 Year 5 writing update🖊🖊🖊

In Year 5, we are part way through our modelled write in Literacy. This is the phase of our Literacy unit where the children showcase all of the language and the grammar that they have learned over the last couple of weeks. Even though we still have one more day of modelled writing to go, we just wanted to say how impressive the children's writing is. We'll be using our writing to 'draw' our settings, towards the end of next week. Reading the children's work is a must for those of you coming to Year 5 parents' evening this week.🙂

They say a picture is worth a thousand words....well, in Year 5, we are going to see if our words can create the perfect picture.

Class 5 Fairy Tale Day

CLASS 5 had a magical day today 🪄Fairy Tale Day was enjoyed by all. The children went on a Fairy Tale scavenger hunt to find the characters, collect the code letters and then break the code. They played a guess the character quiz in pairs and then went head to head as tables in the Who Am I round. We listened to a variety of twisted fairy tales and had a catwalk to showcase their super costumes. In the afternoon, the children took part in a carousel of arts, crafts and mini activities. Great fun. Well done Class 5

Class 7's Visit to St. George's Church

Class 7 enjoyed the church service this morning at St George’s. Before the service, the children looked at some of the features inside and drew them. Lots of careful observations and time were taken. Well done everyone 😊
