 Christmas Fair Preparations

DO YOU KNOW A SMALL BUSINESS WHO WOULD LIKE TO HOLD A STALL AT THE FAIR?

CAN YOU PROVIDE A RAFFLE PRIZE FOR THE FAIR PLEASE

IF THE ANSWER IS YES TO EITHER OF THE ABOVE, PLEASE EMAIL NIC GREGSON WHO WILL SORT YOU OUT!

As the festive season approaches, we are excited to announce that preparations for our annual Christmas Fair are well underway! This cherished event is a wonderful opportunity for our school community to come together and celebrate the spirit of Christmas, and we genuinely appreciate the continuing support from our Parent, Teacher and Friends Association (PTFA). Whether you are a long-standing member or new to the team, your dedication is invaluable to us, and we truly could not manage without you. The positive impact the PTFA has on our school is immeasurable; without your hard work, our school would not be as vibrant and engaging as it is today.

More details about the fair will be available soon, but we wanted to share some important dates and the colour schemes for our festive hampers, which we encourage everyone to contribute to. Please mark your calendars for the date of the Christmas Fair, which will take place on the [insert date]. With the delightful theme of red and green, we kindly ask our wonderful school community to consider donating items that align with this festive colour palette.

While we have a fantastic team ready to bring the fair to life, we would greatly appreciate further assistance in organising and running the event. Your time and effort will not only enhance the fair itself but will also foster a deeper sense of community, making this an occasion to remember. Thank you all for your unwavering support and commitment to our school. Together, let’s make this year’s Christmas Fair a magical experience for everyone involved!

We will have 3 non-uniform Fridays (15th November, 22nd November, 29th November) in the run up to the Christmas Fair We're doing our best in the PTFA - its a new group this year, ish, being supported by people who have stayed with us! Any help you can offer owuld be mnost grateful!

THE FIRST NON UNIFORM DAY IS THE COLOURED THEMED ONE. Please try and send in coloured offerings that link to the class colour for the hampers! Following the success of recent years’ coloured theme hampers, each year group has adopted a colour, and if possible, we would like children to bring in anything that is of their colour! This should then make really nice hampers that can be raffled off on the night of the Fair.

Although the coloured hampers are a great idea and are very successful, don’t let it add to the stresses of your daily lives….. if you can’t find anything of the particular colour, please do send in a regular donation as described above!

For the following 2 Fridays (22 November & 29th November) would you mind supplying us with bottles, clean re-useable soft toys (preferably unused ones!), books, games, chocolates, toiletries, or any prizes that can be used for the tombola stall. (I know things are tough out there - just do what you can..... don't worry if you can't. Still send your kid in non uniform..... if you can only do one donation, then only do one donation. The Christmas Fair, and Summer Fair are tremendous fundraisers, and we get loads of quality stuff from you - but I'm absolutely not the type of person, or indeed is the school the type of school -  who wants to add to your stresses - as always - just do what you can. That's all anyone can ask.

Please try to sell the raffle tickets – 4 strips per family!  Please put your name on one side of the tickets and return this side with the money to school – keeping the unsigned ticket at home for you when you collect the winning prize! Prizes to be announced…

Raffle tickets are priced at £1.00 per strip.

Can you also help on the day of the Fair setting up? We would like around 10 people to help set up. If you are able to come into school on 2nd November please complete this form
