Year 6 pupils to London on July 6th!
We had an absolutely fantastic day taking our Year 6 pupils to London on July 6th! Starting with an early 8:15am train down and concluding with a 6:30pm return, the day was jam-packed with excitement. The children were phenomenal as they navigated the Tube, explored the iconic Houses of Parliament, enjoyed some delicious ice cream, and soaked in the sights of our vibrant capital. Their enthusiasm and impeccable behaviour made it a mega day to remember. Truly, our kids showcased their best, making us all incredibly proud!
Thanks to all the parents for getting the kids to Wigan, and indeed picking them up! I know its a big ask.... I struggled getting myself there tbh. London is probably the hardest trip we do.... there is a little bit of pressure on us, and I'm grateful to everyone who made the process easier for us. To Anna for stepping out of retirement..... she knows the tube very well, to Naomi for her leadership in the trip, and to all the staff, and volunteers who came down with us, helping us keep kid/adult ratio as low as possible. We are booked in again for next year, whence we'll hopefully be rejoined by Fr David, whose foot should have heeled by then!
Above all, and I know it sounds perhaps contrite, but I want to praise the kids. THey were amazing. Sensible, funny, polite, hardworking, patient.... each and everyone one fo them. My thanks to you all kids, and well done.
