Welcome Back to term 3b
Are we ready to finish in style? Its the sprint finish time..... and we're off!
Some excellent homework from Class 7 last half term with lots of creativity
What a wonderful Eurovision afternoon Class 7 had to finish last term! Lots of activities for the children to do including Switzerland research, learning about and watching yodelling, the annual cow parade, reading the story Heidi, food tasting and of course watching some of Eurovision! The best surprise was having a Zoom call with La Garenne International School in Switzerland, where children from both schools asked each other questions to find out similarities and differences between school life and both countries.
Class 6 have enjoyed finishing last term using their knowledge of the 8 compass points to explore what they can find in different directions around the school playground this morning.
Year 6 have been learning all about adaptations, evolution and natural selection using the peppered moth. Great learning, great fun and some great explanations of how the environment can affect a species. Well done Year 6!
Reception ended the term at Smithills farm.... Just finished lunch, getting ready for our tractor ride
Class 5 enjoyed a busy afternoon following instructions to end the term. They have all taken part in a carousel of craft and problem solving activities in which they had to follow steps in the correct order. The children have already noticed some language features such as ‘bossy verbs’. This is to kick start our new literacy non-fiction topic on instructions! Well done!
Class 5… we have been to the beach, to the Amazon rainforest, into Space, surrounded by robots and now for our final half term… I wonder where our classroom will take us? Looking forward to seeing you all
